ABOUT Peter Shim

FOUNDER & CEO of PRESCAI

PresCai (Press-kai (press + sky with a soft "k") is a portmanteau of my sons’ names.

I began my career in 1999 in the apparel and footwear industry, working with both boutique brands and Fortune 500 retailers. In 2007, I transitioned into the kitchen and bath sector, leading operations as CEO & COO for global manufacturing leaders. During my tenure in this sector, I maintained residence in Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany—near a manufacturing headquarters—overseeing exports to more than 60 countries and major retailers such as Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe’s, IKEA, Menards, FW Webb, Fergusons, and Rona, among others. Several of these engagements involved private-label OEM programs.

Additionally, I have experience in the architectural window manufacturing space, further broadening my expertise across multiple segments of the building products industry.

Throughout my career, I’ve served in pivotal executive and advisory capacities—most notably as CEO, COO, Managing Partner, Board Member, and Strategic Advisor.

My background also includes involvement in multiple mergers and acquisitions (M&As), as well as site selection processes for domestic and foreign investment opportunities.
